How did people talk to IRCC over phone while sitting in India. What is the phone no. They used and how did they talk to them. Did they use any application to talk to them.

Thanks in advance
Yes i presume so. I’m in the same boat as well and my copr just expired yesterday. I read people who called ircc and got AL as well but as far as official word is concerned, ircc says to wait for them to reach out to us.
Its a matter of time now then..let's hope for the best. Will keep the forum updated if any changes in my account.

I am traveling on 23rd Feb. My final destination is Edmonton, Alberta. Bt my flight is via Vancouver. Now according to this new hotel quarantine rule, where am I supposed to do hotel stay? At Vancouver or at at my final destination?
I need to book my domestic flight from Vancouver to Edmonton. Should I booked it in advance or after reaching there?
Kindly help.
You need to stop over at their reserved hotel for up to 3 nights in Vancouver. Check the link below.

Scroll down to `Completing your quarantine ` and click `travelling on to your place of quarantine` section. You will get the clear details. Wish you a safe travel. Good luck.

Thank you all a lot for sharing your experiences here. They are so useful. I invite all people who want to land soon (or even later) to read these posts at least from 50 pages before the last page. I share my experience here with you: I landed on 16th in Montreal.
Firstly applied in 2015! (Yes 6 years ago)
I got my copr in early 2020 which got expired lately because of Corona.
I raised a 4pt in November, no answer
I got contacted by IRCC, 7pt, end of January then I responded : ASAP! Fortunately I got my AL on 11th Feb. To avoid 3 days quarantine in the hotels, I landed on 16th. Here is my experience with the officers:
They asked me about my quarantine plan, checked the arrivecan, the first one didn't know she should print new copr (I learned it in this forum, so I asked it, she went and asked her supervisor, then said "you're right").
They are serious about the taxi or private car (so don't risk it).
Prepare as many as documents you think you will need: beside of me there was a guy from Pakistan who couldn't answer some questions and provide documents so they take him to another office!
It was a long line in Montreal as they check all study/work/copr together, so it takes 2h waiting then 20 minutes for me. And after all this, finally, I got "welcome to Canada " !
Congrats on your landing.
Just wanted to clarify on what you meant about the taxi/private car.

For the Proof of funds question at the airport, Do you need a customized letter from bank showing the balance? or the last 6 month account statements are enough?

Regards,
Vivek
If possible get a signed statement from bank otherwise last 3-6 months is fine. However no one would ask for POFs.

Perfect, I got a signed statement from my bank yesterday. I will be carrying all documents that were used in the application process and goods to follow documents. A simple printout of goods on MS word works right?

Is there anything I missed?

If your old copr is now expired, and you have your AL, they have to issue new copr with valid dates for you, but unfortunately not all of officers know about it. In my case, the officer signed the old one, then I told her that you should give me the new one with valid dates, she refused first, but then she asked her manager, then print the new one.
I hope it helps

Hello,
I am currently in a similar situation COPR issued before 18th March 2020 and expired May 2020. My daughter was born November 2020. I assume you had to do re-medicals. Could you kindly let me know how long it took from remedicals to Passport request for your yourself and baby?
Thank you!
Hi,

Both my wife and I were issued COPRs before 18th Mar 2020, however we were blessed with a baby in Jun 2020 and she got her COPR on 15th Feb 2021 along with re-stampings for us which is valid till Sep 2021 (Medicals expiry for us). I wanted to check if all 3 of us can travel together or only my wife and I are exempted considering my daughter would 'technically' come in post 18th Mar 2020 pool?

I need a little help from the ones who have already landed are about to land- what places did you book to quarantine? The cancellation and refund policies of the places on airbnb and booking.com are bugging me. Given the condition that we need negative covid test within 72 hours of the departure, how can we be 100% sure that we will check in on the given date.
Where should I look for the places which have flexible cancellation policies?
Thanks.

Has anyone booked the mandatory hotel that IRCC provided? Tried calling the toll free number?
I’m leaving tonight and this whole process seems so unsure. Anyone else traveling on Sunday?

Exactly same situation. PPR Ocy 20 and expiry March 21.
As far as I understood, we need to wait our turn for now . after this category of before 18/02/20 they will start looking to our cases.

Best regards
Same case mine is valid till 30th of March. Don't know what to do. Did you people tried talking to ircc?

I know one person who was able to land successfully. It was a connecting flight in usa
Hello @Ann7676 that's promising news, did they have any immediate family in Canada? I'm asking as we are in the same boat, my wife and I's visas are expiring by April but we don't have immediate family in Canada. It does say on the travel restrictions that you'll be allowed in if you're entering from the US: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/answers/foreign-us-approved-perm-res
