They do respond when they process the webform. It usually takes around 2 to 3 weeks. For me it took around 1 month.

If you have sent a webform to NDVO then you would be lucky if you get a response from them.
I didn't send the one that goes to specific office.. I sent webform from URL in ITA letter

Guys,
people whose COPR is being extended are they receiving new COPR via email?
or only counterfoil details are being update in mycic account and they need to carry old COPR?
please advise
I haven't received COPR extension but I read someone posted they got AL via email with validity till March with new COPR details in account.. It was also stated by IRCC that they are not printing COPRs at this time due to which they sent the AL..

My wife and I are both PRs since last March and have valid PR cards and stamped CoPRs.
BUT our 5-year old daughter has an expired CoPR and PRV issued before March 18th. (we left her with the grandparents and made a soft landing without her)
I've been trying to get the IRCC's authorization for my daughter to travel to Canada since August. I wrote them twice already stating that she's ready to travel. They didn't issue an AL or a re medical request. They just informed me that my request was forwarded to an appropriate office.
I'm really tired of pointless waiting and considering just arrive with her and her expired CoPR.
Do you think we can travel to Canada?

Hi everyone!
*long post alert*

Just wanted to share my travel update.. I received my AL on dec 25th, tested negative for covid19 on jan 6th, travelled on jan 8th. My flight was mumbai-delhi-toronto.
First flight being domestic, they didn't ask for any details except for the arogyasetu app. Delhi to Toronto immigration was very smooth, the officer was aware of AL so didn't ask any questions and stamped my passport right away.

15.5 hours flight to Toronto went by quickly as I slept for almost 9 hours! The 3 meals were surprisingly good and air crew was very friendly.
Immigration at Toronto took 3/4 mins. They checked for my covid test report here.
The officer printed out a new copr as my earlier one had expired, asked me to sign it, told me I will get my PR n health card after 2-3 months at the address mentioned in my declaration form. I was not asked for any bank statements or quarantine details.
The officer congratulated me on becoming a PR and I am in my day 2 of quarantine now!

You guys have been exceptionally helpful during the stressful 9 months that we’ve all experienced!

Good luck guys!
Cheers :)

Pls help .

Our copr ( approved before March 2020 and we are from usa) expired in April 2020 and we informed IRCC we can’t travel because of covid and they extended automatically our medical to April 2021.

Now we are expecting our first kid who is due in April 2021 and being pregnant we can’t travel now before the new medical expiration date . In this scenario , even after kid is born , we probably need sometime as we need to get kids usa passport and other stuff like adding kid to application and all which might take 3-5 months after kids birth .

With this scenario , should I go ahead and request IRCC to re extend the medical or give a new medical date or other alternative ? Will they even consider this ? Will AL be issued

Any helpful suggestions are welcome

Hey
You should inform IRCC about your pregnancy and inability to travel in the near future, unless you ask them to send you an AL, they are not going to force anything,
I was sailing in the same boat, till sept, wrote to IRCC about inability to travel before that and now I have sent my new born’s (sept 2020) documents to NDVO but haven’t received a response yet!
All the best!

Thank you for your reply . So you meant to say - just reach out to IRCC with the pregnancy information and inability to travel but should we give them a potential date or when we can travel ? Because we are not sure when we will get all the documents for the new born

Just take one step at a time and raise webform that you will not be able to travel within April 2021 as you are expecting a baby. There is no need to specify the dates for your travel if you are not sure.

Best wishes for the baby :)

Hi
I have been a silent observer this forum has been really helpful. I needed some guidance from the amazing people here. My wife and I received COPR on 18th Mar 2020 with an expiry date of 1st Sep 2020. However, like most of us we couldn't travel. My GC account was updated on 9th Nov 2020 stating 'Medicals passed' and I received the 4/7 pointer mail on 18th Dec to which we replied the same day. We have not got any update post that. We have raised multiple webforms and fortunately I have a job offer with joining date as 18th Jan. Q1 - Does it mean that our medicals were extended? Q2 - Any suggestions on how can we expedite this? Our VO is Sydney, Nova Scotia

Pls help .

As per my opinion you can request them to extend your medicals explaining your situation .But as they have already extended your medicals for a good one year I can't guess what will be their response.Have you got AL or not yet. If not you should request them to give extension and that you are ready to do remedicals.I think they will keep your file open.
Rest others may throw light.

Thank you for your reply . No, we haven’t requested for Al and neither did we get one.
As of now , Portal says application is open . That’s my concern as well - As application is already extended automatically once .
I will reach out explaining every detail and will quote we are ready to do remedials.

Hypothetically, let’s say if they don’t entertain this request . In that case , can my husband alone do soft ( he is the primary) land and complete his PR obligation ? And can he later sponsor me and the baby ?

As you have not got AL you will have to wait till they issue AL anyways. So as you will request them about getting extensiom before getting AL see what they are responding?Soft landing is not allowed now.
I think they will agree to keep your file open as your reason is genuine and valid.

She does not need a AL as she is an immediate family member.

You can get her to Canada with he expired COPR since it is pre March 18, 2020.
