IMPORTANT UPDATE: BULK ALs ISSUED

Today (morning time), bulk ALs have been issued at 2.01 AM IST.

Applicants whose counterfoils were updated already, they have received the ALs this morning (VO: NDVO).

Majority of the applicants have received 4 pointers email on Sept 29.

This is a great movement we've been noticing since beginning of this month, NDVO is definitely up to the speed now!

Good luck everyone!
Great!!!!!!

Hi All,
Received a diamond email from IRCC at 2:03 AM IST on 28-October-2020. I just received a Letter of Authorization from IRCC which says that I need to travel within 26-December-2020.

So people who are waiting, please be positive. The good news is coming soon.

Cheers

Hi,
Congratulations on receiving the new counterfoil and AL from IRCC! Hope you get to settle in Canada soon,
My CIC account was also updated yesterday with new counterfoil details. But I have not received any email or AL from IRCC yet.
What is your experience of seeing the account update and receiving email/AL?
Also, did your approval date change in the new counterfoil? Have you verified that you are still eligible to travel to Canada?
Thanks!

When this wait for AL and Extended COPR will be over? Anyone with logical answer to it. I want mine in next 2 weeks at Max.

Nothing for me as well. So paranoid, daily decoding the changes happening from medical passed to decision made . I've heard of only one AL and one re-medical this week from Ottawa. Hope this silence is moving towards something good soon.

Hi, Please help me out!

I have a valid COPR and I’m also an extended family member of a Canadian PR holder (my sister). My COPR expires in jan 21, and I’m already ready to travel. However, the authorization is given to a visitor visa holder, so I’m confused if I fall in the category of extended family member that can get an exemption? I have already sent an email to IRCC on the address they had mentioned on the website, but it’s already been more than 15 days and I have not received a response, other than the acknowledgement I got when I had initially sent it.

Please tell me if I’d even get a response, or I’m usually waiting around, given that I’m a COPR holder and not a visitor visa, so I won’t be entertained.

Thank you in advance.

Please help me
i just got my passports in my hand with the COPR expiry of 11th Feb 2021. I can’t permanently move in before this time period unless they allow soft landing. What should I do? Should I ask for an extension? Coz I currently live in a foreign country and my parent my Proof of funds and everything is in my home country which I can’t travel now. Pls guide me what to do! Will IRCC grant me with some extension of COPR validity?

Just wait for some more time. hopefully by 2020 end if the travel restrictions are lifted you can definitely do soft landing without Hussle. If the travel restrictions are not lifted then you may have to take some steps to activate your PR or extend your COPR

Situation 1- is your COPR issued before 18th March 2020 - you can travel.
Situation 2 - is your COPR issued after 18th March then you should be sponsored by immediate family member. In your case sister doesn't fall under immediate family member. So you can't travel

I guess you already know this. You have already followed steps which are best possible in your scenario.. You also in the same boat of wait as we are in.

Congratulations on CoPR extension! Well done to IRCC and NDVO.

AL - or email Authorisation Letter (some also call it eTA) is required at the airport for sure. That is the main document for airport staff. The GC Key update on the profile is also checked by the airport staff at some airports now. So both are needed.

You would see other members here who are in a similar situation and my personal guess is the AL is on its way. Should get it within the weekend. Respective local VO in the country would have it in their work queue perhaps (no supporting info so I could be wrong).

I would get packing and commence all travel preparation - except NOT jam up any money through flight ticket or hotel / airbnb bookings, if applicable.

Again - congratulations and best wishes!
Thank you...i received my al yesterday too.
