Hello everyone. Just to inform that I landed yesterday in Canada. Thank you everone in this forum for guidence and motivation. It is a very helpful platform. Landing formalities were very smooth without hassle. They just saw our COPR n filled just form regarding isolation plan and declaration regarding money and all. No proof of funds seen. Nothing else...Free in 15 minutes at most. Airport was mostly vacant as expected. Staff was more then passengers. Thank you once again...

Congratulations ! Great to hear a positive story. Is this via the VBM flight to Canada ?

Find below information from IRCC (India specific)

Confirmation of Permanent Residence - Immigration visa (IM-1)
If your application for permanent residence was approved on or before March 18, 2020, but you have not travelled to Canada yet, you’re exempt from the travel restriction measures. Eligible travellers do not require additional permission letters.
If your counterfoil expires prior to commercial flights becoming available, you do not need to e-mail IRCC as you will receive communication from our office on the next steps to be taken once full-service resumes.

What does full service resumes mean ? When Corona vaccine is out ? Logically 'full service' can only resume when the virus is under control or vaccine is out .As per my understanding they will issue new PPR for stamping only after they resume full service.

Any ways lets hope for the best !!

You do have a point though waiting for the vaccine to come out might not be quite what they are implying .The possiblity of a vaccine being available to everyone is lots of months away and even that is not a certainty. The 'once full-service resumes' might just be their generic statement for 'when things get better' which means that they themselves have no idea nor authority to decide when they can begin their offices again.

Like you said, lets hope for the best.

Did anyone go from USA to Canada and returned back after applying for PR card? Is quarantine mandatory in Canada for 14 days or can we come back immediately?
