Yes initial landing place was Montreal but they changed it to Toronto. Initial fare also was changed. I spend 4,57,230/ for three tickets where as initially it was almost 7,10,000/. My emirates tickets were also open but I asked my TA to raise refund request.
Yes we had to wear mask and hand gloves all through the flight.
I took a bank statement from Internet banking though nobody asked for any proof of fund.

So they did the sensible thing and opted for Toronto instead; lowered the fare too.

That was smart of you to take a printout from internet banking and be prepared in case they did ask for proof. Wearing masks for approximately 30 hours must have been difficult. I feel like this will be the new norm for all future air travel.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Hope you and your family are safe and keep us updated.

Yup bud, this is my main concern. i have already blocked around 1.4 Lakhs at different places in tickets.
Did u book under vande bharat mission? Can u pls guide me how did u book it and for when

Guys, Please wait untill the situation eases. If you come here now with the current job market it would be an added pressure to everyone whose coming in for landing. They have clearly mention that COPR will be extended. I dont know why everyone is rushing to do their landing ?

I am currently based in Canada and can definitely confirm things arent that great in regards to the job market.

All the best .

Hello everyone- my CoPR expires in August'20 but I had written to CIC stating my reasons of why I cannot travel before that. I have just received a reply from them as below:

Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The Government of Canada is closely monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and any impacts on IRCC clients.

We have forwarded your request to extend the duration within which you can confirm your status as a permanent resident to the responsible office. Please be assured that your application will not be refused if you are unable or unwilling to travel as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If the situation is resolved and you are able to travel within the existing validity of your documents, you may do so. Otherwise, once you and, if applicable, your family members are able to travel, please notify us by using the IRCC Web form. At that time, you will be provided with further instructions.

For more information on the situation and to receive up-to-date information, we invite you to verify our website.

Sincerely,

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

I wanted to know if this is a standard response or is this an approved extension?

Thanks!!

People might not rush if someone tell them the date when CoPR extension will be given so that they can accordingly plan the things. Its uncertainty that is making people anxious.

It seems IRCC is starting to reply web forms and also forwarding cases to the respective Visa Offices. I got the extension acknowledgment mail today. I raised a web form exactly a week ago.

I was just suggesting. Anyway its upto them.

I have seen people losing jobs here and its not that easy to survive on the savings .
