After yesterday's email, I don't think one needs any additional letter while travelling. As long as your COPR was issued on or before March 18, 2020 you should be allowed to board a flight to Canada :)
My friends husband came from Pakistan and his copr was issued on March 25

Can anyone tell me if we need an additional letter from CBSA while travelling with COPR
If you are immediate family members of Canadian citizens or PRs, you don't. Otherwise, you need authorization letter from Canada government.

For immediate family members, the issuance date for CoPR is not related. They are allowed to travel to Canada is the trip is considered non-optional or non-discretionary, e.g., establishing full-time residence in Canada.

But he is a blood relative of a citizen/pr. So he was always on the exempt list from day 1.
The March 18 limitation is for COPR holders who do not have any relatives in Canada.
Hahaha, that is true. But we call it immediate family members not blood relatives;)

Are u planning to travel and from what country? My husband has copr and he is stuck in india as they have lockdown and no flights :(

Those people whose COPR has expired , will be issued new COPR . Does that mean that these people will not fall in the exception to travel restrictions imposed by Canada as their new COPR will be issued after March 18 .

They should fall in the exemption list as their files were approved before 18th March.Any ways by the time we get the new copr I think this ban would have been lifted.

My COPR IS ISSUES BEFORE 18th March so do I still require a authorisation letter and I have no relative
