I got the following email on December 24 from Ottawa VO (CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca)

"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
We have received your request to travel using your expired Confirmation of Permanent Residence document. IRCC is currently working on your case. You will be receiving further information from us in the coming weeks with regards to the documents you will need to travel."

Anyone else received such emails?Does this mean i will be receiving an AL instead of remeds. Following are my details.

Application Approved before March, 2020
COPR expired on June 12, 2020
No 4 pointer email was sent to me
Raised 4 webforms with one webform containing details of Quarantine plan, proof of funds, etc.
Medicals expring on Feb 2021 ( Included the 6 month grace period)

I did my medicals on 26 nov.Visa offive NDVO.Still waiting..

The group has become quiet and I expect that because people are receiving ALs & COPRs. They may have already landed or just about to in few days/weeks.

This is a new thing that they have started but this is good. Some progress in your application.

I have no idea regarding this but few people have received AL and COPR after doing re-meds recently.

I gave remeds on 18th December..still no updates...not even medical passed

I know one couple who gave their re-med some time in Nov and they got AL 4-5 days back.
They flew with in 2 days.
Seeing the trend you will also receive in few days. Things are comparatively fast.

Hey, I have a question . As we already know IRCC has started gradually streamlining the procedures. I was wondering how long will it take for spousal PR if i apply once i land?. is there any other effective way to bring over my partner?

You can try visitor visa(if they approve) or you could have added your spouse in this application even after your PR is approved. Usually spousal sponsorship takes around 12 and it may take more time during Covid.

I would suggest to add in this if you are in a good condition in India(with job and good financial back up, not in a hurry to move to Canada).

I think Air Canada is the safest to board. They also wanted Air Canada but it was not available on the that day so they went for Air India.
