hi guys i am a COPR holder and i tried to travel last saturday to canada from egypt but the airline (swiss) wouldn't let me travel due to the dec 1st restrictions application in 10 African countries including Egypt where I currently reside. do you think this company will be able to refund me? I had made the reservation well before the release of the December 1st restriction. Do you also think that Canada will reopen its borders with Egypt soon?

Asking people here wont help about the refund. Contact the airline. I doubt it though, since departure date is already gone. You can also stay for 15 days in a 3rd country that is still allowing travel from Egypt and then board for canada. Hope travel restrictions will be lifted soon since omicron is going to be everywhere but hard to say when.

It's finally happened! We got our new COPR today. Thought COPRs were online now, but we got a physical copy. It'll expire in a year, when our medicals do.

Can't believe the wait is finally over. It's such a relief. I'm grateful how supportive everyone has been on this forum. Hope everyone gets theirs soon as well.

Criminality -Passed
Medical- Passed
Info sharing - Complete
Final- Approved

I can see document no. in document issuance section and visa sticker but Status of document is cancelled.

COPR holder = Foreign national.
All foreign national who have been in any of those 10 restricted countries with in the previous 14 days will not be permitted entry into Canada as per the news release on 30th Nov. You were late by just couple of days. That`s really painful.

Lots of PPRs are coming for people without family reunification. Cant say they are giving priority from just one case.

Medical was updated September 2020
Biometric completed February 2021
And i, recieved ppr in April 2021 but, because of second wave I was not able to send it so i got email from vfs in July to send my, passport. I sent it in the july 2021. Passport came unstamped and stated that, your medical was expired. In September 2021 I did re-medical and and updated through web form and got automated reply. Still, there is no reply from them. I hope to get news from ircc. If any one know any news about that please reply. Thanks in advance.

You meet with immigration at your first landing, so either Toronto or Vancouver. Your COPR will be signed before your onward flight.

That is incorrect information. IRCC is giving PPRs haphazardly. March 2020 are getting PPR, I saw someone from October 2020 also got a couple days ago. Though considering how a bulk of March 2020 got PPRs last month, they may be moving down the line as well as picking other months at random.
