Check with some other medical centre. To save money, if you have a family then you can ask IRCC to link your meds with the recent meds you did. But it might delay the process or maybe not. No guarantees.

IMO, with third wave coming and some parts of Ontario (where I am right now) are gone to Red zone from Orange, IRCC might not be in mood of processing the applications on priority which are not done as per process defined by them.
Exactly, IRCC will not be in a mood to process applications which are not done by the protocol defined by them. I am a single applicant, that is what medical centre suggested, to email IRCC to link my recent meds.Has it worked for any candidate where they asked IRCC to link the meds?. How long did it take?.

Yeah. Okay. Did you do Upfront meds too? Afyer that they allowed.. That's pretty cool.. The problem I'm facing is that, i had done up front remed in dec. Now CMM centre here in hyd can't do remeds again since my one year is not done yet (Dec 2020 one). They asked me to mail IRCC to update my remeds.. I honestly dont mind getting another one done. This is going ij circles again. Any suggestions would be helpful @legalfalcon ?
Hi - I did not do upfront meds.

I had raised RTT, they accepted my RTT Plan
They sent me a letter to do Re-medicals.
I then did the remedicals

Help - Please - For all who did their Re-Medicals - Can you clarify? [Posting again, since I didnt get any persons in similar situation]

COPR stamped on 18 March 2020, Expired June 2020.
4 Pointer email received on 2nd Oct 2020 - Replied that I cannot travel.

Then Raised RTT in January 2021 - provided entire plan including Quarantine, Proof of Funds, Flight tickets etc.

8 March 2021 - Received a remedicals request in my IRCC Account.
Finished the Remedicals on 9th March at CDC Mumbai.

However, now my IRCC Application Page like this (just like how it looked after the first time of Medicals)

Its in stage "Submitted" vs "Approved" stage earlier. All my GCKEY PRV info is gone.

Further, it states "Action Required" read messages for details and the message is the same 8th March Message for remedicals - something which I have already completed.

It shows that I am required to take action and submit my medicals.

I confirmed with CDC and they have said that my re-medicals report was submitted on 11 March 2021.

Today 22nd March, and my IRCC Account page still requires me to take Action and submit my Medical Report.

Is this the same for all those who submitted their re-medicals? How much time does it take for the remedicals to show up in your IRCC Account?

We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

Your application is taking us longer than usual to process.

About 20% of our applications are more complex to process. They take us longer due to things like how easily we can verify information, how well and how quickly you answer our requests and whether the application is complete.

If you aren't seeing updates, contact us using this Web form. Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to.

True. One of the reasons I avoided doing upfront meds. Apparently, upfront meds messes up their entire process/system.

Dear all,

Do you know who is eligible to travel to Canada directly from the US? Is it only for US residents?
Thanks for your help!

Just Now I logged into my profile and saw the message which many of us are getting about choosing from the two options.

Based on this it seems option 1 will give you a new COPR with validity till end of your Medicals/re-medicals. and You can travel within that validity. Am I correct in interpreting it?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RESPONSE REQUIRED WITHIN 10 DAYS : Reissuance of immigration documents

XXXXXXX,
This refers to previous correspondence regarding your application for permanent residence (PR) and
your expired confirmation of PR document (CoPR) and PR visa.

COVID-19 Travel Restrictions:

Travel restrictions, COVID-19 testing requirements, and quarantine requirements are currently in
effect to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Canada.

You can find more information on current travel restrictions on our website at:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-
covid19/travel-restrictions-exemptions.html

Re-Issuance of Permanent Resident Visa:

You previously informed us that you were still interested in travelling to Canada for non-
discretionary reasons (i.e. to live and settle permanently in Canada).

As your original CoPR was issued on or before March 18, 2020, it appears that you currently qualify
for an exemption from the travel restrictions, based on the information you have provided and the
current rules in place.

We have also reviewed your situation and confirmed that it appears you (and your family members, if
applicable) have done (a) new medical examination(s) since your original CoPR(s) expired. The new
expiry date of your medical(s) is: 2022/03/07

(If there is more than one date of expiry for you/any family members, the earliest date is provided
above.)

Documentation to Facilitate Travel to Canada:
Please select one of the following two options:

Option 1: Confirm that you plan to travel to Canada before the validity date above. If you choose
this option, you will be sent a request to submit your passport (which must be valid until at least
the date above) to IRCC for physical reissuance of your CoPR (and your PR visa, if you are a
citizen of a visa required country). Your CoPR will be annotated to indicate that it is a
replacement for a document issued on or before March 18, 2020. If you select this option, you must
use your re-issued CoPR and PR visa before the validity date printed on the new documents expires.
If you do not use them before they expire, you will need to submit a new application if you want to
immigrate to Canada in the future.

Option 2: Do another medical examination. If you select this option, you will be sent a request to
do new medicals (at your own expense) within NINETY (90) calendar days. Your new medicals will be
valid for 12 months from the date of your new examination.
When we receive your updated medical results, we will assess whether any other information needs to
be updated to re-issue your CoPR(s). If you (and your dependants, if applicable) continue to meet
all statutory requirements, we will send you a request to submit your passport(s) for physical
reissuance of your documents, which you will need to use before they expire.

Action required:

If you still intend to come to Canada to become a permanent resident, your action is required now.

You must contact us via the IRCC Webform (https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-
renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx) within ten (10) calendar days to tell us which option you
choose.

In your response, you must also inform us if any of the following applies:
• Your family composition has changed (e.g. birth, marriage, divorce, death)
• Any material facts relevant to your application have changed for you and/or any of
your accompanying or non-accompanying family members since the issuance of your original CoPR (e.g.
marital status, new criminal charges or convictions, change in country of residence, change in
custody arrangements for minor children, change in available settlement funds, etc.)
• You (or any of your family members, if applicable) have obtained a new passport since
the issuance of your original immigrant visa (if yes, attach a scanned copy of the biodata page)
• You (or any of the family members on your application) are already physically in
Canada.

If none of the above applies, you can write: “There have been no changes to any material facts
relating to my application.”

If you do not respond, your application will be permanently closed and you will need to reapply
(and meet any statutory requirements in place at that time) if you want to immigrate to Canada in
the future.

Note: As travel restrictions and guidance can change quickly, it is your responsibility to verify
at the time of your actual travel that you continue to meet any requirements and/or exemptions.

If your plans change and you decide you do not want to live and settle (i.e. establish actual
residence) in Canada when you plan to travel, you will no longer meet the exemption from the
current travel restrictions, and you will not be able to travel to Canada (even if you have a valid
visa) until/unless the travel restrictions change.
Sincerely,
LC
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
Responded with Option 1 today. Let's see what happens next.

Ideally if the medicals were updated it should start showing up under medical section. It happened with me too.
It showed medicals is completed on XX date.
Under documents, it said : We need additional documents and send you a mail for the same.
I waited for few days and then raised a webform. But within 2 days I got the mail with option1 and option 2 (you can check my post about that).
Now again waiting for the passport request.

But yes all the older details are gone , old copr etc.

I did my remed on 5th Mar on 8th mar the status updated to you have passed medical exam.
Today I noticed that the status has changed to Your Action is required.
When I went in I noticed a change:
"We need additional documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details. "

However I havent received any messages till now.

When you saw the above - Your Action is required on 11th March - did at that time show that the Medicals is completed on XX date?
Could you specify what date did you see this message - your medicals is completed on XX date?
Also- was this date the date of your remedicals or was it the date of your original medicals?

Finally - could you share your VO please?

Looks like we are on the same boat. This is what it shows on the profile:
Review of medical results Help - Review of medical results
  • March 8, 2021 You passed the medical exam.
and the on 17th I received the mail for choosing option 1 and two as previously posted.
Ofcourse the date is of new medical. I did remed on 5th Mar and status was updated on 8th Mar.
And yes the date when medical was updated same date the status was changed to "Your Action is Required"
I raised a webform also as I never got a message for any additional documents. But then that seems irrelevant as on 17th i got the Option mail.
I would suggest give it few more days you might get the option mail too.

My VO would be NDVO.

I think the option mail would get triggered on receipt of the Remedicals. Since the option 1 specifically states that.

My problem is that my medical tests have still not updated in my GCKEY - its 11 days now since CDC submitted and 13 days since I did my remeds.

Is there a way to shake up IRCC and make them update my status?
Ive tried the webforms route - nothing is moving.

I was in same situation like you last year. CoPR issued before 18th March with validity up to May 2020. Resigned from the job, was serving notice period, had my flight booked and was ready to travel. BUT lockdown happened, flights got banned and CoPR got expired.

I took my resignation back on last day of my notice period. After 8 months I travelled to Canada on AL with expired CoPR and yes had to redo the meds after getting notification from IRCC.

As your CoPR is approved after 18th March 2020, If you have a job offer in Canada or some other reason (not just finalizing your PR application) that you think that would make you exempted from travel restriction then you can take a risk to travel. If there is still a 1% doubt then I would recommend to take back your resignation and travel when the restrictions are uplifted. Get a refund on flight tickets or reuse them for your future booking if you can do it.

If you need to travel in a short notice, you can serve your notice period remotely or pay out some part of your notice period. In my case, I opted for paying off my remaining notice period days (my 62.5 days of leave balance took the hit and saved me for paying back to my company:/. I want to thank my ex HR for not waving off my notice period. Thank you ex HR!).

In a nutshell, resign only if you are sure that you will be allowed to travel when there are restrictions are in place.

Getting relieved from your company and wait for IRCC to respond is NO NO from my experience. Either you switch company or stick with the one you are right now till you are 110% sure about your travel.
Thank you for the detailed information.
I am in talks with my company if they can transfer me to Canada in a different role.
So, they are figuring out options for me and most likely they will let me know before my relieving date.

Certainly, it is best to take the resign back and cancel the tickets but, IRCC will update about restrictions on or before 21st Apr 2021.
My relieving date is 15th Apr 2021, I think if I extend my notice period by 10days, I will get a clear picture if I need to move out or revoke my resign.

2ndly, if my company gives me an opportunity in their Canada branch, even then I have to revoke my resign as it would be an intra-org transfer and I may get exempted.

My confusion is, if I take the resign back without any confirmation of an opportunity for Canada from my company, and by chance the restrictions get lifted in May 21, then I have to serve another 90days of notice period (currently left with only 25days), which overlaps my COPR expiry (31st May 21).
