Hi,

I am still not sure which documents do I need to get certified by an authorized person? Is it all the documents for which i will submit a copy for e.g. birth certificate, degree certificate, passport copies etc? Does the copy of all these documents have to be certifed by an authorized person?

Please guide me with your valuable inputs.

Regards

No, copies do not need to be certified. CIC will verify their authenticity. The only requirement for a certified copy is if it is not in English/French - then, the translation needs to be certified.

Note that your transcripts ("Marksheets") need to be originals, issued by the university in sealed envelopes.

Hello Jes, thanks a bunch for your response. But I am not sure whether my university will issue me the original marksheets again and that too in a sealed envelopes? I guess original marksheets are issued by universities only once, atleast that's how it is in India. Its very difficult to get the original marksheets again.

Anyone from India who has applied for PR under CEC pls let me know their experience. Have you all submitted the original marksheets.

Please help...

Thank you!

Yes I had received marksheets (no transcripts) for all 4 years of my engineering degree. So I guess I only need to submit the copies of my marksheet.

Experts, pls share your knowledge...

You don't "receive" transcripts without requesting them. It depends on your university - Other applicants from India have been told "no excuses," that most universities in India comply with this international standard.

True or not (and I'm not even sure you're from India), you will have to specify the university to get appropriate advice. If others get transcripts and you don't... At least make a good faith effort, and if that fails, you can describe your efforts in a cover letter and attach that to your marksheets.
