Hi!

My brother is done with his graduation this month as of April 2019 and his convocation is due in June.Being the only brother he is very much emotionally attached to me , so he wanted me to be there to see his achievements.

My only concern is should i apply for a tourist visa as in India specifically in my region there are a lot of rumors that a single and unemployed person can not get a visa.As i am at assistance to my dad in our agricultural sector so i dont have any documents to prove that.

About my travel history i have been to England twice on a tourist visa, twice to France once on a student visa secondly on a tourist and most important, have been to Canada as well on a short term student visa and was back to my country on time.

And if yes , i should, then what all documentations do i need to provide and what are things do i need to be careful of.

I am really confused and eager to attend the convocation. Please Help.

Have read about the TRV on the Government of Canada page, real brother is not mentioned in the family category.
Why so?

It's not impossible for a young, single person to get a visa, but you're right in thinking that it is more difficult, especially if your profile matches that of other people who have overstayed in Canada.

The way to overcome this is to prove strong ties to India. Your travel history will help (how old is the travel history?), and you need to think of how you can prove that you will return to India. In addition, you will need to show a healthy bank balance that is solely your money.

What documents do you have that can help prove your ties to India? Land documents? Tax returns?

When you applied for your tourist visas to England and France, what documents did you give them?

They key is to convince a visa officer that you are a genuine visitor. honestly, your profile looks pretty strong as long as you can show more economic ties to your home country. Do you have a J forms or dairy farm certificate on your name?

Thank you,

Thank You so much for your reply.
Though I am a genuine visitor, because if i wanted to stay in Canada would have stayed earlier.
Sir/Madam,
According to you what do i do to prove that I am a genuine visitor and just wanted to visit my brother for his convocation, as i hardly has any time left.
No, i dont have jforms on my name because i just started assisting my father this season, but he is the one who is sponsoring me on my every trip abroad.

Thanks a lot for reverting back so soon, will definitely keep in mind what you suggested me.
Actually I do not want to fake, as it is not impossible to show that i was working on cash for any so called firm, the reality is that I am assisting my father in our agricultural fields and related.

Will definitely provide the similar documents as i did earlier for France ,England and Canada.
But there anything specific that could help me more to attain visa easily.

I'm not suggesting you fake anything! Just be honest in your application.

Can you tell us what documents you provided to get your other visas?
