Convert Open Work Permit into Close Work Permit

I am holding open work permit till 2020 dec, i got contract full time job in IT till 2020 Dec
My question :
can i apply for closed work permit by myself or my employer have to apply for me?. I have 12 month job contract and employment letter , do i need any other document from employer in order to apply for closed work permit?

reason to convert open to close work permit:
because my spouse and child will also get visa along with me.

if anyone has experienced simile situation , please share. need this info urgently.
