Convention refugee to apply for skilled worker category of PR

Hi,
I am a protected person/ Convention refugee, I applied for PR in January 2021, and so far I only received an email confirmation of receiving by IRCC.
I was wondering if protected person can apply for other type of PR such as skilled worker or express entry ..etc

does anyone have any information about this?

It's not possible to the best of my knowledge.

Of course not, as you have your canadian work experience through your refugee status work permit its obvious that you can use that work experience through the express entry process.

The issue is really that you don’t have temporary status.as an asylum claimant.

It means they received your application

Hello Rajeev, with current situation in Afrghan, Pandemic there is no specific timeline on how and when they will start working on your application. Follow up on other threads, they are current working on Jan/Feb 2021 Applications now and there is no update for most April/May Applicants
