Does anyone know how long will take my application for PR? i sent it on june 11th 2012.
I was determinated as convention refugee. Can anyone who is or was convention refugee tell me about his or her process PR?

I included my common law partner in the application. How long will it take to be with her?
When i get my PR Immigration will process her application too?

I wanna be with her as soon as possible.

There are two steps in processing the following applications. In order to know the total approximate time it may take for your application to be processed, ADD the time for step 1 to the time for step 2 (the 2 steps are consecutive).


I am a protected person and I applied on February,2011 since that I have been waiting for the result but do not worry, I have friends and they got PR card in 8 months and bring their common low partners in Canada. Of course, her application is also in process.

I just talked to CIC agent and He said application received after December 11, 2011 have not opened jet.

yes i know, i have called twice and they told that they are opening applications of march 13th 2012 and now they are processing all the applications received up to december 11 2011.

i am a little worried because i send my application on june 11th 2012 and the agent told me that probably i have to wait 2 more months until my application will be opened. so, it is gonna be open on octuber i guess.. but my 180 days since the day I was determinaded protected person to that date will have expired.

you have applied already within in 180 days. Does not matter when they open your file. Why do you worried?

There really doesn't seem to be any standard for how they process these applications for PR.

My husband was a protected person, he applied for PR February 2011, and received his PR March 2012. Myself and our daughter were included in his application as well, and as of August 2012 we are still waiting to hear about the status of our PR.

didn't you get your PR yet? holy! this is gonna be tedious. I don't know why it takes so long. I sent my application on June 2012. I haven't heard anything from CIC. I have been trying to check in Client Application Status and there is nothing! i don't even know if they received my applcation. this is annoying.
