Hello, if a convention refugee has a property in their back home country, and they want to register it by somebody else's name. Is it okay to go to their embassy in Canada and just regiester it? Or that would affect their status? Thank you

I would think that could be a potential risk, but can't say for sure. As you are a refugee and have claimed protection from your home country, it would seem to me that there could(?) be some risk involved in asking them to assist you in matters with your home country. You became a refugee to avoid dealing with your home country. Asking an embassy for help could be seen as reavailment, but then again maybe not.I don't think the risk is significant, but it might have some effect. I'd run it past an immigration lawyer before doing anything to be on the safe side.

Thank you for your response!

The thing is I am not asking for their protection or help from them, but to transfer a property from my name to somebody else's (in back home), it must be done through your home country's embassy! No help or protection needed.

Is there a way you can use your lawyer or some other sort of representative to do the required paperwork? As noted previously, an embassy, even if located in Canada, is not Canadian. It is the sovereign property of the embassy of that country. When you step onto that property you are effectively in the country which you seek refuge from.

I don't know if they would consider that re-availment and use that against you in your refugee claim, but it is usually best to avoid contacting your previous countries government at all costs in these situations.

Technically, they can even detain you the moment you enter embassy building. Yes embassy property is considered part of your land, so if you enter there on your free will Canada cannot help you (without sparking a diplomacy incident).
And by the way same right goes for diplomatic cars and planes. (in case you are wondering how could they escort you outside of Canada).
So the only thing you can do is to check with whoever wants to get your property if some kind of letter giving right to somebody else to deal with this matter in your absence will be accepted. Obviously if it is signed in front of a notary public in a foreign country (in Canada in this case)

i am in the same situation as you are
i have to delegate some one in order to claim my portion of my father's inheritance
if your passport in possession of yourself you may advise legal help from a lawyer
otherwise (seized) i would recommend wait until you get it back
the question is : being a refuge does that mean we must give up our rights and properties back home?
there must be a way through
