Hey community,

I am currently checking out my options for express entry and I currently have issues I want to clear. And maybe you can help me.

On Canada's own website I have already seen how self-employed applicants have to apply (or what they need to provide).
"if the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience)."
(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html#s04)

Now I have the situation that I have been working for two clients as an individual (contract-work). I have been paid, I will get the letters of reference and they will explain my duties which align with the requirements of the NOC code I am applying for.

But I wasn't a registered freelancer nor did I do this as an incorporated business. So instead I "only" have
  • letters of reference (also declaring the length of the business relationship)
  • NOC-duties met
  • bank statements
The amount of money I got paid was below the threshold from where taxation would start for me.

Will this be a huge obstacle, am I at risk of getting rejected?

Thanks

Additional info: the payment I received was a fixed amount specified at the beginning.

I would like to edit the post above and add this detail. But it seems there's no edit function.
