Contract full time job paid by cheques

I have a short working experience which is temporary full time contract. I got reference letters from them but I do not have pay stubs. Is it fine to just submit the reference letter? Thank you in advance!

Also add contract letter to it.

Pay stubs are not compulsory. In fact they are not even requested. However, even if one is paid my cheque he/she should have payslips.
