Contract employee on T4

Hi experts,

I have a question. I worked for a US company on their client side in Canada. They hired me as a contractor employee(mentioned something about W-2) . The reference letter which I got from them says that I was their employee. It did not mention if I was full time, part time or contractor.

I have my T4 and my pay slips with CPP and EI dedications.

Will this experience be counted for ECE? Secondly, if I apply with the letter, what will happen if IRCC calls my employer?

Please note that I was paid per hour.

Only full-time or part-time work counts.
Those things need to be made clear in the letter from your employer.
Usually you would write the letter and give it to them to just return signed.
