Hi guys,

I need urgent help with my case. I have 15 months of experience in India post bachelors. I moved to US for education purposes and studied for 2 years. Now, I am employed at a US firm for last 16 months. I wanted to get your insights on:

1. Is my experience considered continuous as I essentially did not accumulate gap period because I was involved in studies? 16+ 15 => 31 months?
2. I understand 16 months of experience in US is still sufficient. I really want my home country experience to count as it will help my CRS score. Do you think its a great idea?
3. Or maybe, can I contact IRCC with this question? How can they be reached?

Thank you. Appreciate all the support :)

If your work experience in India and US are from NOC O, A or B category than you have work experience of 31 months.
You can mention it like this in your personal history:
1: Employment in India - 15 months (Start date to end date)
2: Education in USA - 2 years (Start date to end date)
3: Employment in USA - 16 months (Start date to end date)

and in work history just mention both your work experience with start and end dates.

Thank you for suggestion. So, as a follow up, I am now curious about filing my application.

When I file my application, it asks me for details like: How many years of continuous work experience do you have?

Should I just choose 1 year AND when I fill in my work history, I mention both on my jobs making it 31 months?

tl;dr: 1 year in continuous work experience and 31 months in work history section?
