Continuous work experience issue

my employment experiences as a teacher are as follows:

June 2011 - april 2013 SCHOOL1 (21 months)
June 2014 - march 2015 SCHOOL 2 (9 months)
May 2015 - march 2016 SCHOOL 3 (10 months)

Total: 40 months or 3.3 years

I have an express entry profile which i have created under a representative. Recently we got into a bump because of a misunderstanding on the part of my work experiences. I was told that i cant claim 3 years work experience because of the gaps in between. 21 months is only counted as 1 full year, etc.

Is this correct? Does the immigration or express entry rules back this statement?

Thanks!!

You should have at least one years of continuous work experience to create a profile in the last 10 years. Based on the details mentioned above you can claim 3 years

This is a relief. thank you. Im applying through a representative and we kind of hit a bump because he said i cant claim three years because of the gaps in between. i recently received ita, i believe, since im applying through a representative and everything goes through them first, but i've been asked for a medical exam. i just wanted to make sure the gaps in between wont be an issue.

You are good to go as long as you are getting reference letters for the experience you have claimed points
good luck
