I have Experience certificate from UK company that mentions i worked for them for 2 years from Jan 2013 to Dec 2014.

But in March 2013 i came back to home country to extend my work visa, the process which took 4 months. Now while claiming points should i claim for the whole period of 2 years or should i omit these 4 months that i stayed away?

Another question is that my company changed name couple of months before i left due to new investors, and the experience letter is under the new name of company. Would that be a problem for my application?

Morally speaking, you shouldn't claim it if you were unemployed for 4 months. Practically speaking, if this gives you additional points and the company has issued such a letter (and will stand by the contents in case IRCC makes inquiries), you can claim the entire 2 years. It depends on what the company will do if IRCC reaches out to them for confirmation. It also depends on what you will mention under Travel history for that 4 month period. And Personal history as well if you want to highlight those 4 months separately.

Minor detail, highlight this in the LOE if you want.

I dont want to over complicate things as if i decided to omit these 4 months, I would need to add 2 experience terms of same company and would need to obtain separate experience letter which is quite difficult at this point for me, secondly I have exactly 3 Years 4 Months experience at this point, so at 3 years of experience i already have maximum points i can claim for foreign experience.

What i am worried about is the travel/personal history as it will show i was away from country of work for 4 months.

Even if you split the experience and show it as 2 rows in Work history, you can upload the same reference letter twice and add an LOE. Or you can have a single row and upload the reference letter once - in this case, add an LOE to explain that you aren't claiming points for those 4 months even though the system record would show the entire work history as 3 years and 4 months. Not a problem.

Travel/Personal history will still be in sync with your Work history and LOEs in both cases.

I like the latter option better as I do not want to add 2 rows of experience.

You have been a great help, Thank You :)
