Hello,

I have contacted the IRCC cell centre today and the agent mentioned that I have been calling them once every 2 weeks. Is that something I should worry about? does calling IRCC center frequently impact my citizenship application?

Also, my application was marked in process in May 24, since then, my application has not passed the step of the background check yet, is that normal?

Please let me your answers, especially if you are an expert in this subject.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have contacted the RICC cell centre today and the agent mentioned that I have been calling them once every 2 weeks. Is that something I should worry about? does calling RICC center frequently impact my citizenship application?

Its IRCC, not RICC. And why are you calling them once every 2 weeks? Refer to the citizenship tracking spreadsheet to look at what are the current timelines, you will find people are in process for last 3-5 months, so its normal.

I did not know about the spreadsheet until recently. But, does calling them a lot interfere with the process?

How do you contact them? What number do you use?

The agent can file a complaint against you like what happened to another forum member. You're in process in May and you're already flooding them with calls!!! Some of us have been waiting since October! Settle down.

Yes I believe you might end up with further delays... take a chill pill...

Why would you end up with further delays for calling frequently? Same should happened if you order your gcms notes several times but doesn't happen.

Don't worry ... at some point i called them once and even twice a week, an agent asked me why am i calling frequently, and since i stopped calling, i had no delays on my application.

But stop calling for a month at least, and than try to call max once a month

Put yourself in their shoes for a minute. I don't know what you do for a living, but imagine that part of your job was to take calls from customers about when they can expect delivery of their order. On your companies website it clearly says that the products you sell are hand made and it takes many many months to create since they're all personalized and demand is very high for them. In fact, demand is so high that in some cases it can take a whole year to prepare and deliver - you try your best to satisfy your customers faster, but you only have limited resources and when you can get it done quickly you absolutely do.

Now, imagine that you've got this one guy who keeps calling you. It's only been a few months, but he calls you every week to find out what's taking so long. Every time he calls you tell him that you don't have any further information, that everything is normal, and that you're waiting on others to complete their part of the process before you can finish up and deliver his product to him.

But he just keeps on calling and calling and calling. You try again to tell him that he has to wait like everyone else, and that it's normal for it to take this long.

Maybe you should just take his damn order and put it back on the bottom of the pile. That'll teach him for being annoying. He's going to call anyway, and maybe next time someone else will have to deal with it (better leave a note on the order so they know not to waste too much time helping him).

While this cannot legally derail your application, worthless, unnecessary and frequent calls can be considered a nuisance for the centre just like saying bad words and verbally harassing phone agents. This the first automated message/greeting and warning message you get when you call them It’s there for a reason.

Best advise is order : GCMS notes
See income history
You will
See what notes written from call centre if they do so .

But I am sure nothing serious this matter.

Each time you call, it does get logged. There was another thread where someone called so much that the call centre person told him to stop calling so much. But technically it should have no impact on your application. But people are people and you never know.

Part of my job is dealing with customers. There are some customers who are difficult. While I try to do my best to help all customers, my time is limited and I will definitely prioritize my time and effort on the ones I have a good feeling towards.

Ok, but do you take customers who come 3-4-5 months after the calling customer for the same product first ?
I think if the service would be more fair people wouldn't call that much. In regular Business is the same who comes first get served first. It's absolutely no offence to anyone but I can understand that people getting frustrated.
