I am a Canadian citizen living in the uk while i am sponsoring my fiance to come to Canada. It has been 4 months since we have started the process and i am also 4 months pregnant. I am really hoping to go back home before the baby is born but we dont know how long this process is going to take. Things seemed to move very quickly then slow right down. He has already had and passed his medical exam 1.5 months ago and havent heard anything since. I am wondering if i try and contact IRCC and let them know i am pregnant and wanting to return to canada within the next couple months will my fiances application be processed any faster?

If your fiance is British (or from another visa exempt country) it would be feasible for him to enter Canada under dual intent before the application has been finalised. Dual intent basically means entering as a visitor while you also have a PR application in process. He wouldn't be able to work, however. More info on dual intent here: https://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spou...y_application_is_being_processed:_Dual_Intent

Pregnancy is not a reason to speed the application up. You being a citizen can come home at any point. I was the sponsor and was pregnant and gave birth during the waiting period of our application (12 months and 5 days). It had absolutely no besring. If your husband is on a british passport, why not have him come to canada to wait out the rest of the application with you. I hope your provincial health coverage didnt stop because you have been living out of the country and if it has i hope it kicks in quickly as having a baby can be expensive.

Have the baby born in uk, then they become dual national (both Canada and UK!)
