Is the child Canadian? You don't have to update them in that case.

Use the IRCC Web Form to inform your VO of the birth.

He will be Canadian but was born in England. I will be applying for a citizenship card for him. Does this still need to be added to the application?

The child doesn't need to be added to the app but you do need to inform IRCC of the birth.
