Anyone know an immigration lawyer, consultant or anyone who knows a little bit about express entry in Lower Mainland Vancouver that's not too expensive? I have some inquiries that I can't find answer to anywhere. I think I will have to hire a representative to help me with the application.

Let me share my experience.

I moved to Vancouver in December immediately i finished my program. I didn't want to enrol myself for 2nd year course as i believed 1 year course will be efficient for immigration. I contacted 13 lawyers in BC and all of them were charging from 4000-12000 $. Then i started contacting people in this forum and gained superior range of knowledge.

Moral- don't go for any lawyer, you don't need it in express entry. Checklist and wage related information can be easily available through various posts. But you need to do detailed research on this in order to save your big amount of Canadian Dollars.

This is my advice, rest is your decision but still you need someone who suggest on these immigration rules, i have sufficient amount of expert contacts which will your queries into consideration.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I definitely agree that there is no point paying lawyers and consultants when all the information is out there. My main concern is, I worked with a company that closed down over night., I worked at a supervisory position and fulfilled all the roles and duties. The company didn't provide me with any pay-stubs or ROE. I only have a contract saying that I was hired for that position. I have tried contacting the company but no one has responded. I only needed a lawyer to find out if the Contract would be enough profe that I held that position with that company or would they require something more?

You are right. They only need offer letter with your duties and stuff. Pay stub is optional but if they ask, then you have to provide it
