Consultant asking extra money

I Am an Indian and got my file no as finance manager. My Immigration consultant is now telling me that, some time embassy may reject finance managers without verifying properly and if I make an additional $1000 cad to him he will prepare a lawyer statement which will reduce the chance of rejection of my application. Can you please advise me regarding this.Is he cheating me or is it worth paying him

Its not true he is just ripping you off....if cic has to reject they will reject it no matter if there is any statement from the lawyer... and CIC dont reject any application with verifying it properly.

dont believe him absolute fraud..try changing him quickly ..get the communication adress to urs. if possible record the call u have with him the next time..( may be helpful in future if he tries to play with u ) dont pay him a penny extra than the contract...

this guys will say everyting to get money..beware frend and just be alert..

All occupations are special. You need to prepare all your reference letters properly to make it easy for the visa officer to make positive decision.
And your "consultant" looks like one of those who extort money. Cut him loose as soon as possible.
Get all your papers from him and then send the form to Visa office informing them that you don't use his services anymore.

Please understand that the consultant doesnot have any say inside the embassy and with CIC. All you need to do is to give complete information. Regarding your current job, please check which job code (NOC) you fall under and then prepare a Roles and Responsibilities document, preferably on company's letterhead, specifying all your current job responsibilities. Whatever is mentioned in your R&R doc will be judged with reference to described roles and responsibilities for that given job code....If they are similar, then I guess you are safe. Also, try to get the R&R doc from all your previous companies. If you can't get that, then atleast send a mail to the HR and take the printout of that mail....while sending your docs, please mention that your previous company ABC didnot send you any reply for your request of R&R and give this printout of email as proof......at least this is what I did in my case......

And, this agent/consultant is a fraud.......1000 is big amount and its hard earned money.....Give some more efforts and you wont even need him.....Its better to change your communication address and leave this agent.....I am from Delhi and got my PR on 14th May. If you wish to ask anything from me, I can share my personal experience with you with agent (which was good).....Kindly PM me if required.....

sounds like a scammer and con artist to us... Be very wary.

if it's ok by you, can you tell us what is his/her name, and other info like company name, address, website, phone number, credentials, etc? It will really help to better discern if he is a reputable consultant or not. And there may be people here who also have experience dealing with him/her.
