Hello Everyone.

I´m considering moving to Canada but I have trouble deciding so I decided to come for advice from people on similar situation.

First the background information:
I´m 25 years old. Single. No kids. Bachelor Degree (Civil Engineer). From El Savador (citizenship).
I studied on lived on USA for 7 years, moved back due to the limits of my work permit making my stay unnecessary complicated. My main concerns is that if I apply to the Skilled Worker Program under Entry Express (and get accepted) will have trouble finding jobs, similar to the problem I had on the USA.
I´m not concerned about the Express Entry at all since I´m fairly young, I have high level of English (haven´t taken the IELTS yet but I took the TOEFL 8 years ago and got 94/120 with perfect score on reading and listening and I´m pretty confident my English has improved since then). Have a bachelor Degree (from an American University so the credentials should be similar if not identical to a Canadian one). Have relatives on Canada and have 3 years of experience on my work (all of them have been on construction as engineer assistant). What concerns me is job opportunities since I don´t want to go and waste my life savings on a fail attempt.
So my question is the following, how many opening are as engineering-in-training sort of niche on Canada, I know the profession is regulated (like it was on the USA) so proper licensing would be impossible upon arrival; and can I work on no-related-fields with the SWP program. Having a no related job while I look for a right fit is better than being unemployed and it was one of the main reasons I struggled on the USA (since there it is not allowed).
And how hard do you think adapting would be? Can it be compared to be identical to live in the US but a tad colder or is completely different? Any insides would be greatly appreciated.

Here is my 2 cents on your situation :

Try and look for jobs related to your profile on multiple job portals and connecting with LinkedIn recruiters.

Off course they won't hire you as you don't have residency but you need to find out demand for your occupation

If you get to a point when you see multiple job openings with low supply, you would be pretty certain about your future and if you don't see ample opportunities, you know the answer

I would advise you to create your profile with Canadian address ( friend or something) in job portals or without address and just see the hit rate if recruiters are interested in you or you are in demand or not.
