Hey there! -- Me (the PA) and my daughter will soon be arriving to Canada this coming 1st week of August as Immigrants.. My husband is still working abroad and will follow us after 3 months.
Do I still need to bring with me a consent letter from my husband in order for our daughter to be allowed to enter Canada?.... I'm worried since I have just thought of this situation just now and we only have few days left for our travel.

You can land with your child being you are the PA. There is no need of a consent letter from your husband because you are the mother of the child. However, you have original COPR for both and also the passports. Your husband can land later before the expiry date of PR visa.

You might want to bring the letter along just in case. My husband lives in Canada, and the airline never lets me board with our child to go visit him unless I have the letter from him stating it was ok to travel to Canada with her. It might be different in this case seeing you are immigrating, but I can't answer that.

Thank you Wilson, MSP2YYZ and Allegra for the quick and very helpful replies.. However, to be ready- just in case-- I already told my husband to try to send me a consent letter as soon as possible, (the courier will take more or less 5 working days for this document to be delivered).. if I get to receive it before we leave, then much better,, but if not, at least your responses made me comfortable and eased my worries.. :)
