A conjugal sponsorship requires an immigration barrier to being together, and a legal or cultural barrier that would lead to severe repercussions. For example, if same sex relationships were punishable by death and it were illegal for two unrelated persons of the same sex to live together.is that how gonna be work. because i go back home every year to stay 6 weeks or 2 months.
so what should i apply then?A conjugal sponsorship requires an immigration barrier to being together, and a legal or cultural barrier that would lead to severe repercussions. You, right now, only have an immigration barrier for your partner. There is no legal or cultural barrier that prevents you from living with her. You do not qualify for conjugal.
Thank youIf you have the extra cash I highly recommend hiring a lawyer to help your case. My conjugal sponsorship was approved and the officer never asked me to leave Canada to go live with my partner to become common law. Good luck
Was your conjugal partner also same-sex unmarried living in Philippines? If you have the extra cash I highly recommend hiring a lawyer to help your case. My conjugal sponsorship was approved and the officer never asked me to leave Canada to go live with my partner to become common law. Good luck
No we r opposite sex. She was married and could not get a divorceWas your conjugal partner also same-sex unmarried living in Philippines?
So that's why the immigration officer didn't make you leave Canada to live with your partner: adultery in the Philippines can be punished, for the woman involved, by a prison term of six years. That is a legal and immigration barrier to relationship. No we r opposite sex. She was married and could not get a divorce
I never said otherwise to.what u r sayingSo that's why the immigration officer didn't make you leave Canada to live with your partner: adultery in the Philippines can be punished, for the woman involved, by a prison term of six years. That is a legal and immigration barrier to relationship.
Unless there's a law against unrelated same-sex people cohabitating in the Philippines, the essential legal/cultural barrier does not exist and the couple has not exhausted all options available to them in order to qualify under conjugal sponsorship.

The OP's situation here is markedly different from yours. I don't want to give false hope.My conjugal sponsorship was approved and the officer never asked me to leave Canada to go live with my partner to become common law. Good luck
i know 2 same sex couples from the Philippines who got their conjugal application approved. dont listen to the naysayers and people who think they know everything saying with conviction "If you don't have any immigration or legal barriers to living with her, your application will be refused" they're just being smart ass acting as though they work in the immigration. obviously the fact that you cant get married in Philippines is reason enough to leave the country and have a better future in Canada.. Sorry i hate ranting but dont believe every advice you are getting esp. negative ones. just go do it proceed with your application with good faith!Hi,
