Someone told me that because we share the same citizenship (I am Filipino/Canadian), then we won't be approved as Conjugal Partners because there is not an immigration impediment in the Philippines, is this true? (Though technically, I am not anymore a Philippine citizen as I have not taken the oath to become a dual citizen, and at the time I became a naturalized Canadian, Philippine law had deemed my Philippine citizenship revoked). Does the immigration barrier have to be on both sides? What if our mutual decision is to be in Canada?

frapii thank you for sharing our experience... are you filipino/canadian?

I'm a naturalized Canadian. I'm not quite familiar how dual citizenships, like yours, work. Sorry :(

That's a wonderfully naive statement. I'm glad it went so easy for you, but it doesn't always, especially if there is anything unusual about the circumstances.

actualy my application was so complicated, coz the expartner of my partner is residing on his house. and thats the main question of the visa officer to me, the VO ask me what is my reaction on that issue.. and i made answer well thats why at the end of the interview i get approved.
