confusion with the educational details to get good CRS score

Hi All,

I am new to this chanda migration plan. I stay in India and now willing to migrate to canada. I have total 4.8 yrs of IT experience. I have bahelor's degree for electronis and telecommunication ( 2008-2012) from pune university. during the first year of engineering I did diploma in soft skill and personal development (2008-2009) from kavikulaguru kalidas sanskrit vishwavidyalaya,ramtek. I have the marksheet of this dioploma and can get the transcript from them too.

So my queries are :

1. Can I get the ECA done for both of them ?

2. If yes, then will in increase my CRS score ?

3. If this is valid then can I select 2 or more certificates,diploma options instead of bachelor's degree option so that I get extra CRS points and my getting ITA chances would increase ?

There is no extra points . you only get points for the highest qualification and that has to be evaluated by WES.

i suggest you send both your transcripts as required by WES. the point of evaluation is to get you the highest marks! you must then calculate your scores based on WES evaluation.

I will be sending both the transcripts to WES. But my query is will I be getting 128 points for education or 120 points ?

what will be my education level in the CRS score calulator?
i. three years or more post secondary credentials --- this gives me 120 points for education and the total will be ( 441 -CRS score)
or
ii. two or more post secondary credentials with atleast one being 3+ yrs --- this gives me 128 points for education and the total will be ( 474 -CRS score)

Its making a huge difference in the points. please help

It depends on how WES evaluates it. I get the feeling that your one year diploma may not count, but only WES can tell you for sure.

if it doesn't count then its really a bad news. Actually I thought they should consider it as i am fullfilling there requirement of two or more post secondary credentials with atleast one being 3+ yrs. My bachelor's degree is of 4 yrs . Lets see....

CRS score of 441 is good to get ITA ?

Yes, 441 is pretty good. The last five draws were 440, 449, 413, 415, 423, so you would have an invite from 4/5 of those. Submit everything to WES and see what they say.
