Confusion regarding Experience in canada.

Hi My offer letter says FEB 10 , My pay stubs show feb 14 to feb 27 as first pay check but I actually started on feb 23.


If I get ITA today I still don't have 1 year experience, I am 1 week behind according to my start date, but my offer letter is dated feb 10th and my pay stubs started feb 14 as I mentioned before.

Does any of you think I can accept this ITA and move forward with application.

Wait until Feb 23 to accept the ITA.

But I heard, they calculate experience based on the date you received the ITA but not the date you accepted it.

Yes wait for 1 year or create a new profile after that. I have seen few rejections. They calculate your experience from start till ITA

I second what luvanuj has suggested.

Just FYI, the old offer letter is not what CIC uses to determine your "start" date, but your employer will have to write a letter of reference (also known as letter of employment) declaring the facts of your (completed) employment experience. The start date stated in that letter is what CIC goes by...
