Confusion on starting an EE Profile. please help

I have my personal reference code to create my profile but I thought creating an Express Entry Profile was free??, if I'm on the correct page it's asking me to choose to sign in with a Sign In Partner or GC Key to start.
I'm from the UK and don't have any Canadian banking. Please can anyone help as I am really confused.
