I applied March 16 2015

Application acknowledged March 28

In process June 21

I am from downtown

So it's still in process

Not transferred to local office

Called cic ///

They say sometimes it doesn't show local office transfer

So basically they said it might vanish

Did anyone face the same??

And I am so depressed now

As no update no tesr
test. Where as I found on the thread some has already got the test me stuck

Is there anyone stuck with me? On the same boat from downtown?

Oh one more thing the CIC said since we r March applicants we r in the old system that means the routine application can take 2 years

This is common. I have applied in Oct 2014 from downtown Toronto and still waiting for test invite. My ecas doesn't show local office transfer. So just sit back and relax....and wait for your turn :)

I applied in sep 2014 and I am still waiting for the test. According to my latest ATIP notes, my file has been transferred to scarborough office in Feb and security clearance was not done yet...

Well I called CIC today and they even had a recorded message that clearly states that if you applied BEFORE April 1st 2015 then expect a decision by 31 MARCH 2016 or BEFORE depending on when you sent your application. Many Toronto applicants from Jan 2015 have had their test as you can easily see in the Jan 2015 thread and spreadsheet so just relax and stop spamming and scaring people.

For Your Kind Information :

Cic call center told me to check this paragraph (specially in the note section) in this website:

Last update: April 8, 2015
When we received your application Estimated processing time
On or after April 1, 2015 12 months or less
Before April 1, 2015 by March 31, 2016 or beforeNote *

Note: (Kindly check the note please ):

Note *

These applicants can expect a decision by March 31, 2016 or 24 months after applying, whichever date comes first.

So the call center said:::: 24 Months ;::::: that is old system as we on the old law falling in the 3 year rule

and also the agent said it might be before but not to call before 24 months

also check the posting above me

The person applied last year still in process

So in a nice way i would say i am not scaring people LOL

CIC told ME :: ok and am not spamming u have not authority to say that also ok :)

anyways

cic told me to check this site:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/cit-processing.asp

Note *

These applicants can expect a decision by March 31, 2016 or 24 months after applying, whichever date comes first.

This simply means that if you applied in March 2015 (like me) then expect a decision by March 2016. However, if someone applied in January 2014, then 24 months after applying is January 2016, which comes before March 2016, and so they will get a decision by January 2016. The guy who applied September 2014 should expect a decision by March 2016 as it is before than September 2016, so he still has six months before he should start getting worried.
This whole 24 months or 31st March 2016 (whichever comes first) applies mainly to people who applied in February 2014 or before- it doesn't affect people who applied from March 2014 onwards as March 2016 would always come before the 24 month period.
Hope this explains it to people and most of the time it won't take 24 months especially if you have no RQ or citizenship judge requests
