Confusion between COOP and "Work off campus"

Could some one help me?

I found a college that offers a program which lasts 2 years.
The institution have stated to me I could work up to 20 hours on 1st year and up to 40 hours on 1st year.
I think that would be possible if worked under "work off campus program"
www . cic . gc . ca/english/study/work-offcampus.asp

The institution's word in a nutshell
- 1st year: study (up to 20 hours/week) + work (up to 20 hours/week)
- 2nd year: only work (up to 40 hours/week)

* I believe I doing so, I will work more than permitted by CIC, I mean 50% of the program!

www . cic . gc . ca/english/study/work-coop.asp

Is some one able to answer me if a person can work as COOP intern and work as a "work off campus" student
at same time? Because I think this is the only way to work that amount of time without work more than permitted by CIC.

I am not sure what ur exact question is but coop term normally is part of ur curriculum meaning lets say first sem ur a student then second u will work full time then u write project reports etc at the end of term and get credits for the work term. So COOP is like a course/subject that u have to do and pass. so if ur college is saying u study for first year and work next year then thats what u will have to do to complete ur diploma/degree. Ur coop work permit will authorize u to work as work term is part of ur curriculum.

Hello renatumb,
....I think mead is right, the COOP work experience should count towards your degree and be related to the field of study. That's the only time that you could work more hours.
Something to keep in mind is that if you work off-campus more than what you're allowed to, eventually you'll need to renew your study permit and if CIC determines that you've not made any progress in your studies, most likely you could get refused.
