Hi, I have over a year of legal work with 2 months of unauthorized work (Hadn't removed my medical) when i first worked for my company.

Requirements for CEC are that i have a year of authorized work - and i do have that - so will they still reject my PR? What are my options?

Sorry, I don't understand your question.

What I understood, you worked one-year legal work in CANADA if this is right? your eligible to apply.

So, yeah, a few more details would be helpful. Do you work in an occupation that requires a medical exam before getting the work permit?

Why did you work without authorization? It sounds like you knew what you were doing...

Short answer is yes, working without authorization can make you ineligible for PR. But, it depends...

I do. I'm a special educational teacher.

I didn't realise I had to alter my work permit as well as do the medical. I did the medical 2 days before I started my job (1st October - I have a receipt and proof). Once I realised that (in a passing conversation in a bar) that I had to apply for a new work permit before becoming authorised I did it, but by the it was the first of December.

I have had my new authorised work permit since though. Amassing over a years of authorised work since then.

I'm hoping IRCC will look past it as a genuine mistake and I'm NOT going to lie to them on my application whatever happens.

Generally, if you are honest about your mistake, show that you understand it was wrong, and promise to not do it again, they will generally forgive such errors, esp. since you corrected it.

But, you can only count the time under the correct permit. Since you have a year, you would be eligible.

For what I can tell, you should be fine. In any case it might have been your employer's fault
