Hi everyone,
My CRS score is 474 and I've received an ITA. But there's an issue.
In my EE profile, the NOC code I entered was Journalists (NOC 5123).
I'm a qualified journalist with a WES-evaluated degree in mass communications and have about a 1.2 years experience in proper journalism. However, my current job (been at it for 3 years) seems to fall more into NOC 5121, I think. It was rather confusing, because I've also done a lot of editing in both my jobs.
In my current job, I write and edit social entertainment and social news pieces online for a popular website full-time. I also do reporting occasionally.
Both categories are extremely similar and I have overlapping roles.
So now after being accepted with "journalists" as my primary NOC, I'm wondering what I should enter in my ITA. "Journalists" or "Authors and writers"? I read that you have to enter what you have more experience in, but I read that after receiving my ITA, which I got under 4-5 days of making my EE.
Apparently you can get refused solely on the basis of entering a different NOC in your ITA than what you submitted in your EE? Super confused. Can someone help please? Thanks so much!
