I just called CIC, they said if you already have a provincial nomination, you are no longer eligible to apply under express entry. BUMMER!

I hope the lady is wrong!
From what I have heard you can't really go by what the people who answer those phones say. Just read the website.

Really I have a feeling it won't make much difference if you have the PNP nomination. PNP nominees are suppose to be processed faster (that is why they give you that sticker) and the new EE system is suppose to make everything at CIC more efficient by basically making people go through another step where they have prove they meet certain criteria before they can apply to CIC.

For a while my bf and I were hoping he could go through EE because it could be faster. But then we realized it would just be adding one more step to the process and it would be a step that nobody knows how long it will take. Even though it says it will take 6 months to process PR after you get your ITA it does not give any estimate of how long it will take to get the ITA.

There could also be issues with the system in the first few months that could cause delays in people getting the ITA. Don't forget this is all going to be done on-line with computers and there will be a lot of people in the first month applying.

If you have a PNP nomination you are basically going to get your PR as long as you don't have a criminal record and you pass the medical. Why complicate things by adding another step when you can't even be sure it will make things significantly faster for you. Think of your PNP nomination as your invitation to apply. By making 3 of the streams more efficient by doing them on-line they may also be able to process the paper PNP applications for PR faster.

I just think trying to get your PR faster with the EE may not work out that way because of all the factors we don't know yet and because there are bound to be some glitches in the new system when it first opens.

yes I understand. I am thinking of waiting till EOI comes into action to know more details and understand the process. If it doesn't fit well to my case then I'll go by traditional method. Though I am more interested in applying through EOI as processing time in my country for PNP applications is approx. 16 months!

Hi, I have a quick question as well regarding the EE PNP and my score is 1059, for some reason I am thinking of declining my ITA. I am a bit confused that if the PNP score applicable to your profile only once or can be carried forward to future invitations. ANY idea that my score will remain the same even after I decline ITA (in other words would the pnp score remain) as I dont want to lose that!

any suggestions would be helpful, thank you

PNs are typically valid for 6 months to a year and this would be mentioned in your nomination letter as well. You can decline the ITA and wait for another as long as you are within the validity period of your nomination. Your score won't change and your profile will be placed back in the pool after you decline the ITA.
