Hello Sachin, In both the colleges chances of getting a part time job is very remote. The only advantage is it is a 2 year course and expense is relatively less. But don't hope for part time in Castlegar especially.

Both the colleges Northern Lights College and Selkirk College have the lowest fee structures among all participating SPP institutions. The quality of education and support to international students is almost same.

Fort St. John or Dawson Creek which falls under Peace Region has Northern Lights College campuses and there are more than 170 international students studying presently and there is none which hasn't got a job and most of these students are earning around $ 15 per hour as compared to $ 11 per hour at most of the other places in Canada. As the region is experiencing economic boom, anybody coming to Northern Lights College doesn't needs to think of earnings, it will be better than any other place in Canada.

So, when it comes to the job opportunities if I need to rate all community colleges, I will rate Northern Lights College as the undisputed number 1. And, no college in the distant number 2.

Students should avoid these smaller cities in British Columbia. There is a severe housing crisis and rooms get rented in few seconds and cost a bomb during peak seasons
