Hey everyone,

I received an email through yesterday from CPC Mississauga stating that I needed to send a photocopy of my passport, updated information chart and 2 recent photos through to them.

I am very confused as to where I should send this information though. I am a UK citizen (currently living in Canada on a WHV with my Canadian partner) and my file was retained in Mississauga for further processing rather than it being sent to London as expected. In the 'Appendix C' of the attached form I received, it says:

A) To submit your package to London via courier or mail directly
Mail or courier your package to:

VPU Processing (LDN)
Immigration Division
Canadian High Commission
2-4 Cockspur Street
London, SW1Y 5DH
United Kingdom
In your package, include a self-addressed envelope that is A4 size or larger (21cm x 30cm or
8.5” x 12”). Do not put stamps on your return envelope. Do not use a courier envelope as your
return envelope. If your return address is in the UK, you may use a Royal Mail Special Delivery
envelope that is large enough (keep a copy of the tracking number). For packages signed for
on receipt at the High Commission, you may be able to track receipt via the website of the
courier company.
If you have not heard from us after four weeks, you may contact us using the email form on our
website. We will not respond to queries received during this four week period.

B) Submitting photocopies of your passport(s) in Canada (CPC-O):
If you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and
plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit photocopies of your passport(s)
to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (“CPC-O”). You are required to send the passport
photocopies together along with a copy of this
following address.

Do I send the package to London with all of the required information (even though my file was retained and processed in Mississauga) or do I send the whole package to Ottawa? Or do I just send the photocopy of my passport to Ottawa?

So confused - please help!

If that applies to your situation then submit it to Case Processing Center - Ottawa (CPC-O). Send copy of the passport along with a copy of the email and any other document requested.

if you are in canada and plan to be when your applicaiton is approved, then send EVERYTHING to ottawa. if you send it to london, then you will need to wait longer for them to mail the visa to you, and since your application is not IN London, that will just result in further delays. i believe the option for sending it to ottawa is so you can get everything "quicker" or because some visa offices can't send passports outside the country they are in.
