So the process is going good. We are gathering all our info and everything seems to be okay right now but I we've encountered a bump in the road. How do we show proof of relationship? We stayed in contact via telephone via VOIP programs and messaging programs. We may have a hadnful of email correspondence but not much to prove our relationship. What should i do in this instance?

Ask your viop and messaging programs provider if you can get a log of your correspondence. Any emails, pictures, letters from friends who know you guys may help. If all fails, consider going to visit her instead.
I probably have this all wrong, but isn't it far more important to PROVE that the ties to home country are STRONGER than the ties to the boyfriend in Canada??? In the cover letter, can you just state where/when you met and leave it at that? Include the invitor's proof of citizenship, NOA, bank statement. Good Luck!
