Confused: GC key or new IRCC Portal

Hello,

I submitted my application for TRV on 17 October '22, as main applicant, and my husband and I each did our biometrics on 19th and 21st October '22. Our biometrics have been confirmed. However our application has been pending since then. We applied through GC key. Now we are considering of re-applying through the new IRCC portal. Would that really help? Do applications through the new IRCC portal get processed faster these days? Do we have to pay again to make the new application?
