I am having admission offers from Laurier Waterloo and SFU(Beedie-Vancouver) MBA both for 1 year full time MBA starting Fall 2012 and i am confused between the two offers. Would really appreciate if someone can help me in gauging the pros/cons of both the institues.

SFU 's business school is among top 5 in canada, and it also has very good world ranking,go for SFU as its MBA is better and for laurier it is more renown for undergraduate studies.,so for mba sfu is is much better

I'd say Laurier all the way. They have one of the best co-op departments in Canada, you will most likely graduate with Canadian work experience and a job offer

echelon99...thanks for your inputs but just to clarify i havent applied for the Co-op program since it is only for those with less than 2 yrs work experience...i have applied for the 1 yr full time MBA program and as sheryar suggested i am also not sure about the reputations of Laurier's full time program...

Hi ,

I have a similar profile as yours
X 83%
XII 95%
B.Sc ( M.P.C) 80%
Testing Experience in USA ( 7 Years )

I'm thinking of SFU MBA. Do you recommend it.

Also , what are the prospects of a PR , will they issue a PGWP for 12 months or 16 months

It would be great if you can share any details

Thanks! :)

Laurier MBA all the way
1) It's co-op, faculty program are top notch
2) you can write CMA's main exam and be a CMA (highly regarded in Ontario)
3) Closeness to Toronto which is Canada's financial capital
4)More interaction with natives which is SO BENEFICIAL for networking
