Confused About Visitor Record

Hi,

I applied for a Visitor Record to extend my stay in Canada and got Approved today. However, I also received a message requesting for a "Medical exam within 30 days". I am confused. Why did they approve my Visitor Record if I have not completed the medical exam? Do I need to do it anyways?

I have never done a medical exam before.

This is normal. They have given you the extension but it is essentially conditional on you completing the medical. So yes, you must complete the medical.

Thanks for your explanation. If I leave Canada before those 30 days, would they cancel the Medical Exam and the Visitor Record? Would that mean I would have stayed out of status until the day I left?

Recommendation is to complete the medical regardless to avoid issues with future re-entries.
