LANDED..........
30-06-2016 - Calgary
We got our landing interview email today, and they booked us in for 3 days from now, so we're scrambling to get everything together. We applied inland.

The email mentions the right of permanent residence fee, and we can't figure out if we paid it already. The receipts don't show any details for what specifically we were paying for, so we're trying to work backwards and figure it out.Hopefully someone can help!

We have 4 receipts: One for $1040 that we paid back in January of last year, one for $200 (restoration of status due to a mixup in our paperwork), and two for $255 (work permit, paid twice due to a mixup in our paperwork).

Does the $1040 cover the application fees AND the right of permanent residence fee?? Or do we need to pay another $490?

Also, does my husband officially land on the day of the landing interview (the 30th), or do we need to go to a border again after that?

The $1040 would cover it unless you have dependents on the file.

Hello dominokitty,

$1040 covers the right of permanent residence fee, here goes the breakdown : Sponsorship application (per application) $75 +Principal applicant (spouse or common-law partner) $475 +Getting your permanent resident status $490 =$1040. So you are good with it.
Many Congratulations !!!

Awesome! Thank you guys so much, this forum has been so helpful throughout the whole process. I'll definitely be sticking around to help others through the process too.

Yeah - I was so shocked too! They seem to have made 2 streams of inland apps for some reason, and the people in the middle of the year got shafted :( So I'd reccomend applying in the beginning or at the end of the year rather than in the middle, if this is a trend that continues.
