See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp#pay-fee

Assuming your wife is PR/citizen of Canada and she is sponsoring you, and only you, the total fee is $1040.

$75 processing sponsor
$475 processing principal applicant (you)
$550 right of permanent residence fee

Unless the fees have changed recently, it should be:

$75 for sponsor fee
$475 for applicant fee
$490 for RPRF (right of permanent residence fee)

The first two must be paid up front. The third may be paid later when the application is being finalized (CIC will request it if not already paid)

However, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to pay all three up front. This will allow for the fastest timelines. Even CIC says so on their website:

"Note. We strongly recommend paying the Right of Permanent Residence Fee along with your processing fees. By doing so, it will reduce the processing time of your application."
