Hi
I am in big trouble because of my stupid mistake. I studied and worked in manitoba since 2015. I applied MPNP in 2017 and got my CoPR last month on 30th may. I was planning to move to BC because my family lives there. But I didn’t go for landing in manitoba but went to BC instead on 3rd July and told the officer that I am moving to BC. They cancelled my CoPR stating that you didn’t intend to live in manitoba. Honestly I fully intended to live in manitoba at the time I applied for MPNP back in 2017 but I couldn’t convince the officer. So now they told me to leave canada by 12 July and made sure I got a one way ticket to my home country. What should I do now? I am scared to death.

Sorry to hear it. But you will have to leave. You informed the office. Your CoPR was based on the intention to live in manitoba.
You should finish landing first in manitoba to become a PR. CoPR does not equal to PR. You need to finish landing and get PR card. Then, you can really relocate.
No need to hire a lawyer.

Yes sorry to hear this. It is really sad. But what random said is 100 percent right. This is a form of misrepresentation as well. I don't see a way out from this now. I hope someone else can give u advice. After pr card u can go anywhere u want. Did they give u anything in writing as well?

No, they didn’t give me anything in writing. Just a passport seizure document and a document stating that I have to be at the airport on 12th to get my passport back and fly back home

In this case, it seems you have no choice. Feel so sorry. You need to get your passport. The document, which ordered you to leave Canada on 12 July, is a wrriten notice.
If you ever want to come back to Canada, you need to declare the cancellation of your PR.

Also, I went to border with my boyfriend who is a PR. Officer asked if I am gonna marry him and I said yes very soon because we had a wedding planned in December. So after officer refused my PR, She actually said that “ You have an option to marry him. Marry him and start a new application.” So my second question now is Can We get married before 12th of July as I have no status in canada now? Will I get to stay in canada If we get married before 12th. We have over 9 years relationship.

Not sure how you’ll be able to get married without your passport for ID?

And not to mention the suspicion that would raise......Doubtful you will get to remain. Based on your comments, the officer was only advising you about future option to obtain your PR, not how to avoid removal from Canada. If you are in BC, you won’t get a marriage certificate to prove your status for 3 weeks. Agreed with canuck78, you’ll need your passport. And that you won’t recieve until you are on the plane and out of Canada. You would likely need to recieve AOR1 before CBSA would comsider defering your removal. That definitely won’t happen by July 12th.
Keep in mind, if you don’t show up on the 12th, they will issue an immigration warrant for your arrest. You should really be talking to an immigration lawyer. You really only have 5 days to address this and defer the removal.

this is extremely unfortunate , I am so sorry to hear that . but you violated the PNP agreement which is a big deal in the eye of the IRCC. GET A LAWYER ASAP , THE BEST ONE , this is your only option other than the final removal on 12 , its your last weapon .

Thats unfortunate. Their are 3 types of removal orders. Which one CBSA gave you. I hope IRCC don’t ban you for 5 years, because when CBSA reject a person landing as COPR they have to inform IRCC too. If on the recommendation of CBSA the IRCC ban you for 5 years then even if you get married to your bf you will not get PR. Get a good representative. You can contact even campbell cohen lawfirm. My recommendation will be try to get in contact with @legalfalcon . Search legalfalcon on facebook too for his fb group. Best of luck

Don't play with them. Do what they say for now and leave quietly. Later try other ways to get in. Don't complicate the situation and get banned. All happens for a reason..you never know God may have a plan for you. Good luck.

What's the type of removal order that has been issued to you? If it's a departure order, than you can apply to come back to Canada anytime you want. If it's an exclusion order on the ground of misrepresentation, the bar is five years, which will affect your eligibility to file your future family sponsorship application.
