Confirmation of Permanent Residence Document

Hello Members-

I received my PR paperwork on 7/13/2012 and landed in Canada on 9/24/2012. I since had to come back to the US where I work and live. I am aware of the 730 day requirement for renewal of my PR. I am waiting for my card.

On my Confirmation of Permanent Residence Document - I have an expiry date of 6/30/2015, which is the same date as the expiry of my passport. Why do I have this date? Does this have to do with expiry of my passport?

Will my card be thorough 7/2017 or I need to prepare to move in 2013, to ensure validity of my PR?

Any insights from members in the forum will be appreciated.

You must been very lucky to have an expiry date of 6/30/2015. Many people in this forum got only 1 year from their medical done date.

Since you have already landed, you can move anytime soon.
