Now I'm confused about the documents my husband needs in hand when he enters Canada.
He has the foil visa in his passport saying permanent resident and two copies of COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). One paper has a photo, the other does not, and he received 4 of his photos loose in a little envelope.
Each copy of COPR is stamped "Not valid for travel". There is a space at the bottom for the IO and my husband to sign and date.
Since they say not valid for travel, does that mean he needs something else? Will they be mailing a PR card to our address in Canada that he needs before we travel?
Also, I was told that it's important to get a stamp in the *passport* on the day of landing for future proof of the date residency began, otherwise there can be disputes and some poor folks have been deported because they appear not to have stayed the required number of days.
