confirmation of current address

Hi I'm sponsoring my son Is just got the letter saying our application for residence is almost complete and they are asking for passport and confirmation of current address my question is my son is studying in a city living with my brother and he doesn't have any electricity or phone bill on his name he has but from his mother house in another town which one he should send?

But "confirmation of current address" refers to just indicating which is the current address he is living in, so CIC can send his visa/passport there, or does it actually requires a document that proofs that he lives there? Did CIC asked for a proof of residence?
